What a way to end the night, the hometown boy, and my good friend Shane Cockrum picks up his first win at Du Quoin, and boy did he earn it. Such an awesome sight to see. After watching him qualify I knew ok sugar Shane would have something for em, and the Tijuana Taxi didn't let him down. He looked like he drove ever lap as hard as he could. So so so proud of the hardy boys and the 66 team. That right there is exactly why silver crown racing is my favorite class of cars. Averaging 120+ MPH laps, and entering turn 1 at 150 mph with 75 gallons of fuel over the rear of the car it truly takes a different mindset to be competitive in this class. If you've never been to a crown race you truly have no idea of what you're missing and I HIGHLY suggest you come out to Springfield next weekend for the makeup event. It's truly a sight to be seen.
