I cannot believe the amount of talented musicians that have come into my life lately. in the words of Garth and Wayne, I am not worthy. Earlier this week, I wasn’t looking forward to anything in life. I had to talk myself into crossing the street when a car wasn’t coming. Weird spot for my brain to be in to say the least considering the shit I’ve walked through with a smile and positive attitude. Quitting photography, not knowing how I’m going to make a living, getting scammed a few grand on eBay when selling my equipment, getting turned down on every application I put in, nothing seemed to really be good in life. All that kinda changed when great friends reached out not even knowing shit was wrong, just being great friends. I didn’t go to the chili bowl, the place that has meant the most to me over the years, instead I supported a real friend and his band, and capped it off Sunday getting to jam with some truly amazing musicians that decided to put up with me and coach me through the process. I took video of us running through the songs that we basically all learned that day, and looking back I can’t help but smile. I’ve got a lot of critiquing and learning to do so I can get my parts in these jams where I want them, and to be on par with these guys, but I’m looking forward to next Sunday more than I could ever explain. Music speaks to the soul, and friends speak from the heart, so thank you friends, I can’t even explain what you’ve done for me. #MotivationEngaged #EverythingIsBetterTogether #thankyoufellas
