I remember a few years back in 2015, going to the Indy invitational. A lot of people didn’t see what I did out of that event. Great marketing by a hard working team, a big payout, just a lot of the right puzzle pieces put together to make an epic event. The only venue available wasn’t exactly the best, but I saw a lot of possibility out of the team behind it. Fast forward to 2018 and now I’m preparing to go to STL and watch late models, modifieds, and midgets battle it out indoors. It’s not the chili bowl, and I don’t think it’s trying to replace it or become the next chili bowl, it’s one step closer to our sport joining the ranks of a supercross like status. The driver intros, pyro, and atmosphere of this event truly makes me excited for racing again. This will be my first trip to this event, and their first year running midgets with the other classes, and as you can tell, I’m more then excited.
